Where:
University of Montana, Missoula, MT
When:
July 1, 2010, 8:30-11:45 a.m.

The 2nd WPBR Genomics Workshop was held in conjunction with the High Five Symposium held at the University of Montana in Missoula, MT. Fourteen people were in attendance, five of whom did not attend the 2008 workshop in Dorena, OR. Discussion centered on how to obtain funding for short-term (transcriptomics) and long-term (full genome sequencing of host and pathogen) research in the soft pines using whitebark pine as the focal point. Discussion centered on what aspects (ecology, climate change, ecosystem services) are important to funding agencies and foundations and how to logistically merge funding from such entities.
